About me

I qualified as a therapist in 2003 in Lancashire. Having just completed a business degree, I was looking for a more creative, fashion lead outlet. Beauty therapy felt like my home immediately. The two years at college studying all aspect of beauty therapy flew by.

During my second year at college I worked in a hotel spa which gave me great experience in all aspects of being a therapist. Immediately after I qualifying I opened a salon with a colleague. We soon built a firm client base and had a wonderful time building the business.

Cara put us at ease, very informative and clear instruction”

Cumbria was calling me and I moved a few years later to get married. Initially I worked as a free lance therapist for a year in a south Cumbrian salon before deciding to study for my PGCE teaching qualification. Since then I have been teaching beauty therapy in different settings from a Further Education college to a private training provider. After a break to have a family I returned to the industry I love. I enjoy treating clients and have a passion for skin care and treatments.

Really enjoyed the training. Lots of information and support. Thank you”

Since first training in 2001, I have continued to learn and keep my knowledge and skills up to date, carrying out everything from short courses in new treatments and products to a post graduate qualification in teaching. I love the beauty industry and I love learning which is why I enjoy teaching so much.

I love working with clients in the skin clinic building strong friendships and gain huge satisfaction from seeing the improvement in their skin. Skin is such a personal thing and to have peoples trust is something I value and treat with he utmost respect. There is nothing better than seeing a client grow in confidence as a result of the work we do in clinic. It’s a wonderful way to spend my day.
